Thomas V. Sheehan - Founding Partner
Thomas V. Sheehan founded Round Oak in 2010, and he will quarterback your coverage from a client perspective. Mr. Sheehan started the firm with the vision of combining the best of traditional investment management with the more modern portfolio theory to which he was exposed, while working at large Wall Street banks earlier in his career.
Most recently, Mr. Sheehan was a Portfolio Manager with Inverness Counsel, a $3 billion asset manager in New York, where he was one of the top-ranked stock-pickers on a ten person investment committee. Prior to Inverness, Mr. Sheehan worked at Deutsche Bank as a fixed income research analyst; ING Barings as an equity research analyst; and Prudential Securities in the Media & Telecom investment banking department.
In addition to his specialty as an investment manager and financial advisor, Mr. Sheehan has experience with private equity, venture capital, angel investing, IPOs, debt offerings, and mergers & acquisitions. Mr. Sheehan received a B.A. in History and Economics from Yale University. He currently resides in Charlottesville with his wife and two sons.
